Tristan Thompson, a 33-year-old NBA player, is facing a lawsuit for allegedly failing to uphold his end of an endorsement deal with Luxury Outdoor Solutions, also known as Teak Warehouse. According to legal documents obtained by RadarOnline, Thompson was given free outdoor furniture for his California mansion in exchange for promotional services, which he allegedly failed to provide.
The lawsuit claims that the agreement, which began on June 21, 2023, required Thompson to share photos of the Teak Warehouse furniture in his backyard, secure editorial exposure in Architectural Digest, and post a minimum of one Instagram Story crediting the company. However, Thompson allegedly failed to meet these obligations, despite receiving over $15,000 worth of outdoor furniture, including chairs, sofas, coffee tables, and sun loungers.
The suit also mentions that Thompson's suspension from 25 games due to testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs may have contributed to his failure to provide the agreed-upon services.
Thompson had until December 2023 to fulfill his obligations, but Luxury Outdoor Solutions claims he has yet to do so, prompting them to take legal action.
This lawsuit highlights the importance of adhering to contractual agreements and the potential consequences of failing to do so, even for high-profile celebrities like Tristan Thompson.
