Houston rapper Lee Carter, widely recognized as Viper, is facing charges of aggravated kidnapping after allegedly holding a woman captive in his southeast Houston home for an extended period. The 52-year-old artist is currently held on a $100,000 bond.
Law enforcement authorities, led by Michael Collins, Commander with the Houston Police Department, made the arrest based on an outstanding aggravated kidnapping warrant. Concerns arose about the possibility of an individual being held inside Carter's residence, possibly in one of the interior rooms.
According to reports, Carter kidnapped the woman after offering her assistance, then locking her in the garage of his home. The victim claimed Carter subjected her to sexual assault and drug use, including crack cocaine, occasionally permitting her to shower. Despite her attempts to escape, Carter allegedly caught her each time, using continuous threats of violence to control her.
The woman managed to alert the police to her location by using a laptop and a Text Now app to contact 911 dispatch. Officers responding to the call found her in an alarming condition – "extremely malnourished" and weighing around 70 pounds, emitting a pungent stench.
Neighbors had suspicions about activities in Carter's residence, speculating it could be linked to either human trafficking or the production of adult content. Carter gained previous attention for his viral single "You'll Cowards Don't Even Smoke Crack."
