Forget country, Lil Nas X now has two songs on the 'Billboard' rock charts

Lil Nas X’s run just got a bit longer.

Just days after announcing to the world he’s gay on the last day of Pride Month, the 20-year-old Atlanta-based rapper has two songs off his full-length debut7 EP charting on the the Hot Rock Songs chart, according to Billboard..

‘F9mily (You & Me)’ and ‘Bring U Down’ have simultaneously charted in back-to-back slots at No. 6 and 7, while entering Rock Streaming Songs at No. 11 and 21 with 5.4 million and 4.4 streams, respectively.

As earlier reported, Lil Nas X’s breakout single ‘Old Town Road’ made history, claiming a record-breaking 13th week at No. 1, the most weeks atop for any “hip-hop” song ever.

Meanwhile, true hip-hop tracks off the EP, ‘Panini’ and ‘Rodeo’, are charting on the Hot 100 at No. 16 and 22 in their respective debuts. To date, Lil Nas X has three songs to make the Hot 100. The aforementioned tracks have slightly more momentum on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, where they debuted at No. 9 and 12, respectively, and the Hot Rap Songs chart where they debuted at No. 7 and 10.

In addition, the 7 EP debuts at No.1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Album charts with about 77,000 equivalent album units, while claiming the No. 2 slot on the Billboard 200.

This is factually Lil Nas X’s biggest week in the music industry. And if you’re waiting for Lil Nas X’s 15 minutes of fame to come to an end, don’t hold your breath. The ‘Old Town Road’ rapper might just be here to stay.

Boosie BadAzz
has reportedly been ordered to pay a large sum of money to the security officer who pepper-sprayed him at a Mississippi mall two years ago.

On Tuesday (July 2), Baton Rouge, La. publication The Advocate reported that U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola Jr. gave the rapper a default judgment and ordered Boosie to pay $233,128.54 to security officer Glen Kerley. The judgment was handed down after Boosie failed to show up for the latest hearing in the case and reportedly failed to respond to the court's pleadings after his attorney pulled out of the case back in March.

During the rapper's absence, Kerley testified in U.S. District Court that he felt truly assaulted when a melee erupted outside Dillard’s at Edgewater Mall in April 2017. According to his own testimony, Kerley is still receiving treatment for the concussion and neck injuries he suffered when Boosie and his security guard, Larry Anderson, joined in on a crowd of people who jumped Kerley. That incident occurred after the security officer pepper-sprayed them in what he says was an attempt to get them out of the department store. Boosie and company had reportedly been asked to leave the mall when Kerley intervened.

After the incident, Kerley sued Boosie and Anderson for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence and civil conspiracy. Both Boosie and Anderson responded by countersuing Kerley for abuse of the legal process, intentional interference with business relations, assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence.

Boosie, who said he suffered physical injuries and emotional distress due to the incident, partially settled a separate lawsuit against Biloxi, Miss. and the people who employed Kerley back in January. According to the city's local publication the Sun Herald, Boosie was paid $5,000 after suing Biloxi, Weiser Security Services and management company Jim Wilson & Associates.

A$AP Rocky Arrested In Stockholm After Street Fight

Story Via XXL -
Days after a video of A$AP Rocky's fight with a man in Sweden went viral, the rapper has reportedly been taken into custody.

According to a report The Hollywood Reporterpublished on Tuesday night (July 2), Rocky was arrested in Sweden on suspicion of assault. The Harlem MC was apprehended after he performed at the Smash Festival in Stockholm on Tuesday. According to Stockholm Police, there was a request made to place Rocky in cuffs after footage of him hurling a Swedish man to the ground made its rounds on the internet. Four people from Rocky's entourage are suspected of being involved in the assault.

"They had the intention to leave the country quite soon and if they leave the country there could be a risk that we would not be able to get them convicted if they had done this crime," prosecutor Fredrik Karlsson told The Independent.

On Sunday night (June 30), a video surfaced of the Harlem rapper and his crew engaged in a melee with a man in the streets of Stockholm. In the first part of the clip, we see Rocky talking to two men outside a restaurant. Then, one of the men accuses the rapper of breaking a pair of headphones and reportedly asks him about replacing them.

After the rapper warned the men not to follow him and his crew, another woman interrupted the conversation and claimed that one of the two men had grabbed her behind. That's when Rocky and his crew began fighting at least one of the men in question.

"SO A FEW DRUG ADDICTS ARE NOT MY FANS , WE DONT KNOW THESE GUYS AND WE DIDNT WANT TROUBLE," Rocky wrote in his Instagram caption for videos of his interactions with the two men before the fight. "THEY FOLLOWED US FOR 4 BLOCKS , AND THEY WERE SLAPPING GIRLS BUTTS WHO PASSED , GIVE ME A BREAK."
