Chicago-based rapper Lil Durk is wanted by Atlanta police in connection with a February shooting outside the Varsity, authorities confirmed.
Atlanta police said Thursday they secured warrants for the 26-year-old, whose given name is Durk Derrick Banks, on charges of criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He also faces a criminal street gang charge.
Lil Durk took it to social media today (May 29th) announce that he would be turning himself in tomorrow .
He didn’t give any further details as to why he will be turning himself in so we’re just as clueless as everyone else.
Lil Durk was last arrested back in 2013 and has done a good job staying out of trouble since. In 2013 he was caught with a .40 Caliber and was released on bond months later.
A Young man by the name of Cyril Briscoe went to a club to see his favorite artists Megan Thee Stallion this weekend and was killed shortly after leaving.
The young man’s cousin sent out a tweet saying “So my cousin was in love with Megan Thee Stallion and was killed last night after leaving the club to see her, hopefully she sees this”
Well Megan happened to see this tweet and offered her condolences as well as donated $1,200 to help cover funeral expenses. Shoutout to Megan she’s a real one!

Kodak Black's fingerprints, gun and rental car linked to a March shooting in his old projects, Feds believe the shooting was aimed for rival rapper who was a possible family member of his.
According to a report TMZ published on Monday (May 20), fingerprints, a gun and a rental car in Kodak's name have been linked to a shooting that went down in Pompano Beach, Fla. on March 7. Federal prosecutors allege that someone in a rented Porsche Panamera opened fire on the home of a rival rapper in Florida's Golden Acres community. This rival, who has not been named by TMZ, was not hit and everyone inside the home, including several children, survived without injury.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again is sitting in an East Baton Rouge, La. jail after being detained for a possible probation violation in connection to the shooting he was involved in in Miami last weekend. During the incident, an innocent bystander, Mohamad Jradi, 43, was shot and killed. According to YoungBoy's lawyer, the rapper wishes the shooters got him instead of Jradi.
On Friday (May 17), YoungBoy Never Broke Again's defense attorney told the Miami Herald his client is the victim in the shooting between his crew and another group of individuals near the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles, Fla. “He was the victim of an assassination attempt,” Manasseh said in an interview.
However, the rapper is sympathetic to Jradi and his family. Manasseh tells the paper YoungBoy will try to help the family of the victim, possibly monetarily. He added, “He told me, ‘I wish they would have gotten me, not him.’”
Two other people were hit when the two groups started exchanging gunfire. One was YoungBoy's girlfriend, Kay Marie, who was taken to the hospital. A 5-year-old child was also grazed by a bullet.
Police decided not to charge YoungBoy and his crew with the shooting after concluding that they acted in self-defense. However, he was detained by authoritiesfollowing a court appearance in Louisiana on Friday (May 17). He is expected to stay in jail until a judge decides whether or not he violated his probation by egging on the shooting incident. His next court date is June 21.

DaBaby's alleged crew got into an altercation with a rapper at a show on Friday night (May 17), which reportedly left the victim fighting for his life.
The Charlotte, N.C. rapper was headlining a show at the Centro Nightclub in Lawrence, Mass. Local rapper Don Trag was also on the bill. According to TMZ, before the show started, things went left when Trag asked to take a photo with the "Suge" rapper and was rebuffed. Trag reportedly got angered and started talking junk to the DaBaby's security. Witnesses say he touched one of the rapper's crew during the outburst, which caused the team to attack.
In video obtained by the celebrity gossip site, Trag is seen being manhandled by a large man, while others take free swings at him. DaBaby is seen in the background looking on. He was not involved in the melee. According to the club promoter, Derek Lemire, the rapper left without performing. Police arrived on the scene but were unable to locate willing witnesses.
After the beating, Trag was taken to a hospital by ambulance and later released. According to the victim's mother, he returned to the hospital after passing out at her home and is now in a coma fighting for his life, reports TMZ. The victim's brother tells the site he has significant brain and neck swelling and "is not doing well." Trag's family has reportedly contacted a lawyer about the incident.

DJ Khaled is honoring Nipsey Hussle by releasing their new joint track “Higher.”
The megaproducer announced on Twitter that the later rapper’s family gave him their blessing to release the track, and as a result, Khaled said he would be donating “100 percent” of proceeds to Hussle’s children — son Kross, 2, with girlfriend Lauren London and daughter Emani, 10, from a previous relationship.
“Recently, I embarked on a soul-searching journey down a road I never thought I would travel in a million years. It began when a tragedy robbed the world of an enlightened soul, a brother, a father, a partner and my friend Nipsey Hussle,” Khaled began.
Khaled revealed that just days before Hussle was gunned down outside of his clothing store, they worked together on a video for “Higher.”
“After much prayer and reflection; and with the full blessing of the Asghedom family, I am sharing that with the world,” Khaled’s announcement continued.
“The very title of the song reminds us that vibrating on a ‘Higher’ level was essence of Nipsey’s soul,” the music producer added. “It is in this spirit, of moving forward, of preserving his mission that I, my co-writers, producers and label partners are donating 100% of all of our proceeds from ‘Higher’ to Nipsey’s children, Emani and Kross. The Marathon Continues.”
Along with the official announcement, Khaled wrote, “A gift from my brother Nipsey we want to share with the world. We miss you and we will forever keep your legacy going.”
Hussle was shot to death on March 31 at age 33. He was pronounced dead 35 minutes after the shooting.

Although Kodak Black is using his $600,000 home as a bond to post his $500,000 bail, federal prosecutors are asking a judge to keep him in jail.
TMZ reported on Friday (May 17) that prosecutors recently filed documents requesting that Kodak’s bail be revoked because they deemed him a danger to society. They cite the Florida rapper’s past criminal history, which consists of drug and weapons charges.
Prosecutors believe that since Kodak has never complied with the conditions of his probation in the past, there’s a likelihood that he will commit more crimes once he’s released on bail. Prosecutors also added that Kodak’s crimes have become substantially violent as they point to a 2012 case involving carjacking and robbery, as well as a 2016 incident involving weapons possession and evading police. They also link him to a shooting back in March.

Kodak Black has pleaded not guilty to the charges. If convicted, he could face 10 years in prison. On Wednesday (May 15), it was revealed that Kodak plans to use his $600,000 Florida home as collateral for his $550,000 bond.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... YFN Lucci's Mercedes SUV was shot up Friday night in Atlanta, and when police responded, they found a man suffering from two gunshot wounds. We're told the victim was not Lucci, and the rapper isn't listed on the police report.

Our sources say the gunshot victim told cops he was driving when shots started ringing out, piercing through the vehicle and striking him in his left shoulder.
We're told he picked up his shot-up ride from a salvage yard earlier this week ... and it looks quite different than it did when he featured it in a recent music video.
