Officer Who Fired 10 Sh*ts Into Breonna Taylor's Home Avoids Prison Time With Mistrial.
The trial of officer Brett Hankison, who was involved in the Breonna Taylor shooting, has ended in mistrial.
On Thursday, the ruling was handed down for the former Louisville Metro Police officer. Hankison, along with Myles Cosgrove and Jonathan Mattingly, entered Taylor's residence on a "no-knock" warrant as part of a drug investigation in 2020. The subject they were after was not there. Hankison fired 10 bullets into Taylor's apartment, three of which went through the wall and entered a neighbors unit. Taylor was killed in the raid after officers refused to render aid to her after shooting her.
As of now, no officers have been sentenced to prison for Tavlor's death.
