In Polk County, Florida, a 51-year-old nurse, Tamesha Knighten, finds herself behind bars after poisoning her neighbors' pets in an attempt to keep them out of her yard. The incident unfolded on August 16, 2023, when Tamesha acted on her threats to eliminate what she perceived as a nuisance.

Tamesha's frustration with her neighbors' cats and chihuahua frequenting her yard reached a boiling point. Frustrated with their purring, barking, and the mess they left behind, Tamesha took matters into her own hands. A recently concluded investigation by the Sheriff's Office revealed that she concocted a deadly mixture of chicken and phorate, a pesticide commonly found in insecticides, which she referred to as her "special sauce."
